Summary

As one of the world’s largest restaurant companies, Yum! Brands includes KFC, Pizza Hut, and Taco Bell, with a combined total of 42,500+ restaurants in more than 130 countries and territories. We developed a new software application to support its Corporate Social Responsibility goals.

Goals

The core of sustainable building at Yum! Brands is called “Blueline.” As the roadmap to LEED certification, it’s intended to accelerate adoption of green building throughout the company. The goal of this project was to transition a large and complex spreadsheet-managed process to a multi-national web-based technology solution in order to support Yum! Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives.

In order to reimagine Blueline’s complex system, we used the process of digital transformation – moving them from cumbersome spreadsheets to a smart, new web-based application. From the ground up, Net Tango led the full life cycle of development, from gathering requirements to deployment.

What We Did

  • Application Development
  • Database Solutions
  • Flexible User Management
  • Information Architecture
  • Maintenance & Support
  • Mobile Responsive Design
  • Online Forms
  • Requirements Documentation
  • Usability Testing

Results

The new .NET application is used by a wide range of stakeholders – from building architects, HVAC installers, and landscapers. The streamlined system allows Yum! Brands to scale and reach its goal of creating more LEED certified restaurants throughout the world.

It was our pleasure to create a new web application for Yum! Brands, allowing its stakeholders to reach their newly established green building guidelines.
